You are cordially invited to the BwA L4D2 Fall Brainfest.  Visit the forums to sign up and be assigned to a team between now and August 27.  The tournament will consist of at least three matches and include versus, scavenge, and realism versus modes.  Prizes include the all important bragging rights as well as several gift certificates to various restaurants and/or retailers.  

Match Play:  Due to varied schedules, we will simply ask that everyone play their matches within September.  We will post the entire lineup (all three teams that you’ll play) up front so to accommodate everyone’s schedules, you can play matches in any order (you can play your 3rd team first, your 2nd team last, etc) as long as they are all completed during the month of September.

Scoring:  We will go with discrete scoring (a win = 1 a loss = 0) and individual map scores will not come into play (meaning that if a team wins by 1000 pts and another team wins by 100 pts those two will be equivalent).  We are doing this so that if, by chance, a team has a runaway round (even after load balancing the teams), it wont put them out of reach to other teams.  This is kind of like soccer where a win is 1 whether you won by 1 goal or 10 goals.  Again, nothing is perfect in this area but this is the method that offers the most fun and closeness of competition so we chose this method.

After about a month of deliberation and technical debate, Nuclear Fallout Enterprises created a BEAST for -=BwA=- Gaming!  This beast was unleashed last month in the form of the new -=BwA=- Dedicated Server.

This box was such a beast that Nuclear Fallout has adopted the configuration as its standard high end Dedicated Server Package.

This box is currently host to 17 -=BwA=- servers including Counter Strike Source, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2.  There are many more to come in the near future.  We are hoping that the rumors are true for COD: Black Ops and the new MOH releases and that they will offer dedicated server support!  Cross your fingers!
